There is one less lawman to protect Sarpy county residents and visitors.
Deputy Sheriff Ryan Fawcett lost his battle with brain cancer. Just seven months ago the eight year veteran was still patrolling Sarpy County. Fawcett refused to let a brain tumor keep him from his duties. But the inoperable cancer took his life early Monday.
The 40 year old Fawcett leaves behind a wife and two daughters ages 14 and 11.
Sarpy County Sheriff Jeff Davis said a funeral with full honors will be later this week. Exact details are still being worked out.
