A Nebraska State Patrol Trooper became suspicious Tuesday evening when he saw a pickup truck turn onto a street with a dead end near Grand Island. The trooper stopped the pickup and the driver consented to a search. The trooper reported finding six pounds of methamphetamine.
The meth was located in a false compartment in the tailgate of the pickup. The estimated street value is $300,000. The driver of the pickup, 24-year old Jeanna Springer of Keewatin, Minnesota was arrested along with her passenger, 35-year old Jaymond Taylor of Aurora, Minnesota. Both were booked for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
