Soldiers from several Iowa Army National Guard aviation units will be welcomed home at a ceremony in Davenport.
About 75 of the units' members had been mobilized about a year
ago to support operations in Iraq.
The soldiers are assigned to the 2-211th General Support
Aviation Battalion, which is based in Davenport. The unit flies and
maintains CH-47D Chinook cargo and transport helicopters.
The welcome-home ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday at the Guard's Army Aviation Support Facility No. 3, 9650
Harrison St., Davenport.
