A customer has been seeking answers to two questions for six months since a West Omaha truck topper business closed. Where did his money go and will he get a refund? He just received a good clue in the mail.
After checking the Better Business Bureau and bankruptcy record, Craig Mead got a letter the company had sent Nebraska's Attorney General. The owner of All Star Truck Toppers near 146th and Industrial claims the IRS garnished the store's bank accounts. That included money customers like Craig put down for toppers yet to be delivered. Craig said, "I've been a businessman long enough to know the IRS has that kind of power. I've just never seen it in action."
Fact Finders has requested answers from the IRS if customers can count on any of the money seized from All Star Truck Toppers. Craig Mead said he'll try to file a claim hoping for a different kind of refund from the IRS.
