An up and coming crop of future leaders are getting their hands dirty on Tuesday. They're beautifying a stretch of Vinton Street, making a difference one project at a time.
Cultivating Community Leaders is a group designed to get young people involved in the community.
By giving them the power to choose projects and the tools to get the job done they are creating a better future not only for the individuals in the program but for the community has a whole.
Oscar Duran says, “These kids are so willing and desire to learn how to do things in their communities that we figured we should start giving them the resources and tools to learn how to do thing for themselves and they’re very powerful especially when they work together.”
Local merchants have agreed to keep up the work the young people have started.
