A 3-year-old Hastings boy critically injured when his uncle accidentally ran him over while parking Saturday evening was taken by helicopter to the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha Sunday morning.
Aldo Yoel Ramirez-Lopez was struck around 6:45 p.m. and first taken to Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings.
Hastings Police Sgt. Jim Baldwin says 3-year-old Aldo Yoel Ramirez-Lopez was struck Saturday evening in a trailer park.
Baldwin says the boy's uncle, 21-year-old Miguel Lopez, was parking a Ford Expedition and didn't see the boy approaching from between several parked vehicles.
Police do not believe alcohol was a factor.
