Omaha police are investigating claims from two drivers who crashed Monday morning that they all had a green light. The incident was reported at 7:26am at 52nd and Sorenson Parkway.
Police say a 1996 Chevy Corsica was traveling northbound on 52nd Street turning westbound onto Sorenson. It collided with an eastbound 2010 Chevy Traverse. Both drivers tell police they had a green light. The collision forced the Traverse to be pushed into a 2002 Dodge Caravan which was stopped in a westbound lane.
The driver of the Corsica is identified as 25-year old Terrell L. Curry. His passenger, 14-year old Ambrosia Hatche, was transported to Creighton University Medical Center in serious condition with a closed head injury.
The driver of the Traverse, identified as 38-year-old Stephanie Unger, was transported to Immanuel Hospital with neck and back pain.
The driver of the Caravan is identified as 43-year old Terrill W. Walker was not transported.
