Investigators have released new details on a car vs semi head-on crash that occurred in a construction zone Sunday night.
Nineteen-year-old Seth Nott of Plattsmouth was driving southbound on Highway 75 in a red 2003 Saturn Vue when he crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2012 Freightliner semi driven by Rodney Malone, 41 of Edmond, OK, said Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann.
Nott was taken to University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Malone refused medical treatment. Officials said Highway 75 was closed to traffic in both directions for 3 hours and 38 minutes while crews worked to remove the vehicles from the roadway. The investigation is ongoing.
