Two more suspected gang members have been arrested as part of a joint law enforcement effort that initially netted 18 men and women for weapons and drug offenses.
Omaha police said Friday that John-Brandon Ladd and Kenneth William are in custody. Julio Arias and LaShawn Driver were arrested Tuesday in Grand Island. Candace Fuller was arrested last Friday.
More than 50 officers executed search and arrest warrants last Thursday. The charges are a result of a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program that began its work in January. The criminal histories of the 18 included more than 72 arrests, 15 felony convictions and 49 misdemeanor convictions.
"Career gang thugs with drugs and guns have terrorized Omaha far too long," said U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg.
