The U.S. Marshals Service announced Thursday a metro enforcement operation over a four-month period resulted in the arrests of 249 individuals tied to gangs, violence, drugs and sex offenses.
This was the second straight year for Operation Triple Beam in the Omaha area, which included officers from the Marshals Service, Metro Fugitive Task Force and Omaha Police Gang Unit.
In addition to the arrests, 46 handguns, 15 rifles and six shotguns were seized along with a variety of narcotics with an estimated street value of nearly $420,000.
