Usually there are only 18 holes in a round of golf but here at the Cox Classic the 19th hole's where the party's at. Thursday night is a "work night", so many of us have to get up early in the morning. But that's not stopping fans and friends alike from joining in on the party.

All the while, keeping their neighbors in mind. Ryan Thompsett lives near Champions Run Golf Course.

“It's a really good location for us and younger families,” Thompsett said.

He says every once and awhile he swings up to the course.

“There were a lot of people; it was kind of winding down. Not so much traffic as I thought,” Thompsett said.

But inside the “19th Hole” traffic is flowing and so are the drinks

“Having some beers with friends,” Sarah Miller said.

The Miller's are here to listen to Thursday’s band and relax a bit before heading to work Friday.

“Just people having fun, letting loose, giving and opportunity to mingle with some of the golfers and the caddies and stuff like that so it's a good time to enjoy Omaha,” Kyle Miller said.

And every night though the tournament crowds will get bigger.

“Pretty much all weekend, good times,” Miller said.

But organizers are mindful of their neighbors. This year they'll be closing the tent at 1:00 a.m. despite the new Nebraska law allowing a bar to stay open until 2:00.

Either way, neighbors like Thompsett expect to hear some of the party.

“I'm sure tomorrow and maybe Saturday and Sunday we will. We're gonna watch the fireworks on Saturday,” Miller said.

But say they'll likely join in too. Those fireworks start Saturday at 10. The 19th hole is open the rest of the weekend. $5.00 dollar cover after 6:30 p.m.

By the way, there will be extra law enforcement watching for drunk drivers, making sure everyone's safe.
