The Iowa Department of Transportation has moved the southern point of the I-29 closure to the North 25th Street interchange. This is where the closure was originally planed June 10. It was moved to the North 35th interchange to allow for an emergency repair project performed by the city.
That work is now done, allowing drivers easier access around the northwestern edge of Council Bluffs. I-29 remains closed over a 16-mile stretch north to the Loveland exit.
