The City of Council Bluffs Is making some road improvements and doing a little recycling as well.

The city is tearing out old exempt train tracks that are no longer in use.

Public Works crews are closing one street at a time to remove the tracks. The project runs from 35th street to12th street.

Monday, they were tering out the old tracks at South 17th St. near Broadway. The street should only be closed for a few days.
