After 15 years on the run, a convicted rapist is brought to justice in an Omaha court. Prosecutors said during that time, the man was living a double life.

Francisco Martinez was convicted in 1996 of raping and beating an ex-girlfriend.

A judge in 1996 lowered and allowed Martinez to post bond, Martinez never made it to the sentencing. The victim of that assault made this chilling 9-1-1 call.

Caller: "I was like please, beginning him to leave and then he got his clothes on and then he came down here and grabbed a butcher knife."

911 Operator: "Are you hurt? Ma'am?"

Caller: "Oh my God, he's here."

911 Operator: "What, he's there? Its ok, the police are on there way, its ok.”

Caller: "Help me! Help me!"

After Martinez posted bond in 1996 he fled to Mexico to hide out with family prosecutors said. At one point, Martinez was held up at the border of Texas and Mexico but he was released because authorities couldn't pinpoint the warrant information.

From there, Martinez moved to Green Bay, to live with his now wife and begin his second life, prosecutors said.

That wife was by his side in court Thursday. A defense attorney argued Martinez should receive a lighter sentence because of the positive life he led in Green Bay over the past 15 years.

Martinez worked with children, the church, even opened a restaurant.

However prosecutors said Martinez was hiding, living under names like Louis Garcia and Israel Chavez.

Now, Francisco Martinez will sit in jail for 13 years, must register as a sex offender and faces deportation.

Judge Russell Derr ordered Martinez to serve 27 years in prison, 15 years for 1st degree sexual assault, 10 for use of a deadly weapon, and 2 years for making terrorist threats and witness tampering. Martinez can be released after 13.5 years as was given credit for 244 days served.
