Convicted Drug Dealer Sentenced

A Council Bluffs man will do federal prison time. 44 year old Scott Wendell Dilley was sentenced to 200 months imprisonment for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, announced U.S. Attorney Nicholas A. Klinefeldt.

United States District judge John A. Jarvey also ordered Dilley to serve 120 months for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, to be served concurrently with the conspiracy charge, and ordered Dilley to serve a
five-year term of supervised release following incarceration.

On March 3, 2011, Dilley entered guilty pleas to the two counts based on evidence that he was distributing methamphetamine, along with four other people, in the Council Bluffs, Iowa
area.

On March 1, 2010, law enforcement searched Dilley’s residence finding distribution quantities of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a loaded Colt .45 caliber pistol.

The investigation was conducted by the Southwest Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Pottawattamie County Attorney’s Office, and was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of
Iowa.
