The future of rural Nebraska will be analyzed during an upcoming conference in Lincoln.
Participants in the first Rural Futures conference will be asked
to think about how innovation can be used to ensure a strong future
for rural Nebraska and the Great Plains. The event, hosted by the
University of Nebraska, is set for May 8-10 in Lincoln. It's open
to the public.
Frans Johansson, a New York entrepreneur and author of "The
Medici Effect," will deliver the keynote address. He'll speak
about the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in ensuring
success in rural areas.
Govenor Dave Heineman and University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken will also speak.
