ConAgra Foods will release the full details of the company's disappointing first-quarter results Thursday morning.
Earlier this month, the maker of Healthy Choice, Orville Redenbacher, Banquet and other brands of food warned that disappointing consumer sales hurt its results.
ConAgra said it expects to report earnings per share of 33 cents, but the earnings will rise to 37 cents per share when one-time items are excluded.
Wall Street analysts still expect ConAgra to report earnings of 38 cents per share although most analysts lowered their forecasts after the company's warning.
ConAgra says the disappointing quarterly results shouldn't affect its long-term financial goals to pay down debt related to its Ralcorp acquisition.
