Slogan contest continues for a small community. Over 210 entries were received but the B.U.I.L.D. subcommittee “realized we had failed to provide proper direction” on the slogan the group had envisioned so new entries will continue to be accepted through April 15th, said the city’s website louisvillenebraska.com.
“From the start of this process, we envisioned a new slogan for Louisville that local businesses could use in their advertising to help create greater awareness of the close proximity of the town in relation to the metropolitan areas to the northeast and southwest. Reflecting back to the beginning of the contest and judging by entries received, we don’t believe we made this focus very clear,” says B.U.I.L.D.
“We have decided to reopen the contest for new entries that emphasize our location (in proximity to Omaha & Lincoln) and opportunity in Louisville. We’re looking for a slogan that tells everyone where we are and what makes us a unique community.”
The organization says only about 10% to 15% of the entries received focused on this criteria.
Even if you submitted an entry before you can submit one again before April 15th to Louisvillebuild@gmail.com.
There is a $500 prize for the winning entry. And even though only one slogan will be chosen, the runner-up entry will get $300 and the 2nd runner-up $200.
