In response to recent violence in Omaha, the group Omaha 360 met Wednesday to discuss its progress.
The group is a collaborative effort of city leaders and law enforcement to combat gun violence. The group is challenging people in the community to take a pledge for peace.
“We are asking every single person in here to recommit to it," said Willie Barney. "Renew and with new energy and vitality that we go out into our community and do seriously say it’s time for peace.”
Once you sign the pledge, you are asked to become a mentor, adopt a class or school or partner with your church. The hope is that everyone will make a difference in the community.
