Areas of eastern Colorado and western Kansas were covered in a blanket of snow Friday morning.
Locations near Goodland, Kansas west along the I-70 corridor into Colorado had reported 3-6 inches of a wet, heavy snow through 9 a.m.
Snow will change to rain as this system moves east through Kansas. This storm system will stay south of the viewing area, posing no threat to the metro. It will send a layer of clouds our direction that will limit our warming to the lower and mid-50s on Friday.
