A bus carrying members of the Simpson College softball team was involved in a multi-vehicle crash that closed part of Interstate 80 near Colfax, Iowa Friday morning.
The bus carrying students and coaches was heading east when a semi jack-knifed in front of it. None of the bus passengers were seriously injured.
The Iowa State Patrol says several trucks were involved in the crash. It is unclear if there were additional injuries. The crash was one of several after the snowstorm dumped several inches of snow across the state.
Another bus later picked the team up for a tournament in Marquette, Michigan.
