Cold Toes, Warm Hearts Returns To Creighton

OMAHA People throughout Omaha will sacrifice the warmth of their feet for a good cause this February.

February 5th marks the third annual event titled "Cold Toes, Warm Hearts." Creighton students are urged to donate $5 and don flip flops to show solidarity with the community's homeless. Faculty and staff of Creighton University will also participate.

"Many people in Creighton's surrounding community are without homes, heat or warm clothing this winter and we thought this is a symbolic and unique way to show our support, "said Kayla Haverkamp, Creighton student and event coordinator.

Those who participate will be be invited to Swanson Hall where there will be warm soup and snacks. It'll also give people a chance to warm up their cold toes!
