The public is invited to Omaha's First Unitarian Church, 3114 Harney St., to learn about climate change Sunday afternoon.
Starting at 1:30 p.m., Mark Reynolds, the Executive Director of the national Citizen Climate Lobby out of Coronado, California, will share his views on climate legislation.
Reynolds will be rallying support for changes including setting a fee on carbon dioxide emissions from oil, gas and coal. Proponents' would like see collected funds to go back to U.S. households to offset higher energy prices. The overall goal, he said, is to stabilize the climate.
Nebraskans for Peace worked to bring Reynolds to town.
