Cleaning Up The Deer Population

We see them by road sides throughout the metro, deer killed by cars.

We wondered just who was responsible for cleaning them up.

Lee Dvorak works in the maintenance department for the Nebraska Humane Society.

We hooked up with her near 192nd and West Maple Road.

This is her main job...picking up deer carcasses left by the side of the road.

Dvorak says she picks up anywhere from one to eleven dead deer daily on road sides in a three county area.
