The state Department of Agriculture is encouraging Nebraskans to buy locally grown Christmas trees.
Director Greg Ibach says Nebraska tree farms offer several pine, spruce and fir varieties, and the purchases help the local economy.
A directory of about 30 Christmas tree growers from across the state is available at www.agr.ne.gov or by calling 800-422-6692.
