Dozens of boys and girls became runway models for the night as Omaha Fashion Week began Monday.
72 volunteers wore the all new and original garments created by six designers from the Midwest.
One of the highlights revolved around 5-year-old Skyler Lindeman who was in tears backstage because she was anxious about walking out in front of the crowd.
She ended up going out but had company -- her dad. Derek Lindeman of Ralston held her hand the entire way and she buried her head in his leg at times as a way to shield her shyness from the audience.
On the way to the curtain, Skyler managed a quick glance at the crowd and had a huge smile on her face. (see photo above)
Omaha Fashion Week continues through Saturday night at Kaneko, 12th & Jones.
The designers featured on Monday night were Jake & Lucy by Jea Theis, Fit for a Princess by Rebecca Robbins, Little Miss Fashion by Yolanda Diaz, Susan Ludlow, Markoos Modern by Aubrey Sookram and Ruffled Runway by Hollie Hanash.
