Omaha police announced Friday the arrest of a third suspect in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 6-year-old girl by a 12-year-old.
The first arrest was the 12-year-old, taken to the Douglas County Youth Center and booked for first-degree sexual assault. Then Wednesday night, 41-year-old Iguan Rodgers of Omaha turned himself in. He was allegedly aware of the incident and didn't report it. For that, he faces child abuse charges.
Now his wife, 36-year-old Yolanda Rodgers, is in custody. Police say she also knew about the allegations after the victim came to them. Rodgers tried to remedy the situation by "whupping the older child."
