The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) is urging motorists to “Be Here for the Holidays,” a special initiative designed to encourage driver safety through voluntary compliance with all traffic safety laws.
“We hope to put travel safety at the top of your list this holiday season,” said Colonel David Sankey, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “With the potential for changing weather conditions and increased traffic, driving during the holidays can require extra attention. The Nebraska State Patrol is encouraging you to do your part to stay safe.”
The “Be Here for the Holidays” traffic initiative includes the posting of times and locations of selected NSP traffic enforcement efforts across the state throughout the holiday season. Drivers can access an enforcement calendar by clicking on the link below.
NSP enforcement activities are listed by day on a monthly calendar detailing the type and location of the enforcement planned. It is the goal of the Field Services Division to hold at least one traffic safety enforcement operation somewhere in the state daily.
Colonel Sankey said, “Help us promote safe travel this holiday season. Always buckle-up and never drive impaired or distracted.”
