Omaha mail carriers are rallying to keep the post office running six days a week.
Organizers say about 200 people braved the cold Sunday at Omaha's main post office at 11th and Pacific. The rally was organized by the letter carriers union to help spread the word about the importance of keeping Saturday mail delivery.
"We need Congress to pass some postal reform so that the post office can be on solid ground and grow and be profitable again," said R.J. Riggs of the Nebraska Letter Carriers Association. "It's been part of our country for 230 years and we don't want to lose that."
Sunday's protest was one of many held nationwide.
