Busy morning for volunteers. Union and Nehawka fire and rescue volunteers responded to a one-vehicle accident at 84th and Havelock just before 8am. Dispatch reports said one person was trapped in the vehicle. Rescue reports said the person was taken to Midlands Hospital. Call logs indicate it was car-deer collision.
Louisville Fire and Rescue responded to a two-vehicle accident at Oak Street and Koop Avenue in the Louisville city limits about 10:20am. A Chrysler PT Cruiser was rear-ended by a Cadillac Escalade. A 63-year-old male passenger in the PT Cruiser was taken to Bellevue Medical Center by rescue squad with injuries that were not life threatening, said the sheriff’s report. The 41-year-old female driver of the Cadillac was issued citations for following too closely and failure to yield.
