-Lori Huebner of Cedar Creek is now on the ballot for the Republican nomination for Cass County Assessor. She will face incumbent Allen Sutcliffe in the May Primary. No Democrat filed.
-Gerri Draper of Plattsmouth filed for the Republican nomination for Cass County Clerk. She will face Terry D. Tilson, James Gruber and Gary Wohlers in May. No Democrat filed.
The following are unopposed in the other county races: Nathan Cox – County Attorney; Richard Wassinger – County Treasurer; David Jordan – Register of Deeds; Barb Prokupek – Clerk of District Court; Bill Brueggemann – Sheriff; E. Michael Slattery – Public Defender; Chuck Jordan – County Surveyor; Janet McCartney – District 2 Commissioner; Jim Peterson – District 3 Commissioner.
One Plattsmouth City Council race will be on the May Primary ballot to narrow the candidate list to two. Lori Winterstien filed yesterday in Ward 1, joining Joe Dugan and John Baroni on the ballot.
The Plattsmouth mayoral race remained at three candidates and that will be down to two candidates after the Primary Election. R. Paul Lambert, Pat Dugan and Mike Bowman filed for Mayor.
Jeanie Brookhouser is unopposed in Ward 2 but incumbents Doug Derby (Ward 3) and John Porter (Ward 4) now have opponents that will go on to the General Election. James Forrest filed in Ward 3 and Charles Yasik filed in Ward 4.
Mike Barrett is unopposed for Weeping Water Mayor. Kelly J. Nutter and Timron E. Gilfert are the two candidates for two Weeping Water City Council seats.
Jerry McClunn is the only candidate for Louisville City Council. There are two seats open.
There are seven candidates for four spots on the Plattsmouth Board of Education: Mary Caverzagie, Bob Priebe, Michael Brodersen, Don Freeburg, Cory Wehrbein, Randy Winters and Derek Winterstien.
There are six candidates for three seats on the Louisville Board of Education: Dean A. Mason, Cindy Osterloh, Kara Habrock, Brian Sparks, Kim Stohlmann-Roecker and Amy Kerans.
There are three candidates for the three positions on the Conestoga Board of Education: Ricky King, Gary R. Todd and Jeff Stanley.
There are three candidates for the three positions on the Elmwood-Murdock Board of Education: David W. Oehlerking, Mark Meyer and Jesse E. Rust.
There are three candidates for the three positions on the Weeping Water Board of Education: Alan Horn, Robyn Larson and Jay J. Twomey.
The number of candidates remained at three in the District 2 State Senator race: Ron Nolte of Murray, Mel Luetchens of Murdock and Bill Kintner of Papillion. That race will be on the May ballot to reduce the candidate list to two.
