Tents filled the parking lots at the metro area's first two stand-alone Chick-Fil-A restaurants Thursday morning. Free food for a year was the draw for those willing to camp out and wait.
As the doors opened at 6 a.m., the first 100 people to walk in were handed a box containing 52 free Chick-fil-A meal certificates.
The two locations are 8710 South 71st Plaza in Papillion and in Bellevue at 2016 Cornhusker Road. There normal hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday thru Saturday.
