A Lincoln cab company has lost a court round in its fight to serve all of Nebraska.

Servant Cab had gone to court in Lincoln, trying to overturn a regulatory commission's rejection of its request to expand.

In August the Nebraska Public Service Commission denied Servant Cab permission to extend its service into Omaha and across the state, saying the company hadn't shown an ability to provide quality service in Lincoln.

The company took its case to court but lost in a decision released last week. Lancaster County District Judge John Colborn ruled that he didn't have jurisdiction. Colborn says the case should have been filed in Omaha, where a hearing on the expansion request was held.
