A Creighton University Women's Basketball Assistant Coach finds herself in hot water the day before the team's final home game of the season. 26-year-old Carrie Moore was arrested early Sunday morning in Bellevue for Driving Under The Influence.

Police say Moore had been out after the Creighton men's basketball game with Long Beach State when she decided to go to a Bellevue McDonald's near 21st & Corhusker Highway at 2:45am. Employees found Moore passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle in the drive-thru. The McDonald's employees apparently woke Moore up and asked her to move to a reserve spot so they could make her food, and also called police.

"They did the right thing; they noticed a person was impaired and shouldn't have been driving,” said Lt. Robert Wood with the Bellevue Police Department.

Authorities say Moore's BAC was almost double the legal limit. She was taken to the Sarpy County Jail where she bonded out.

"When they're intoxicated enough to pass out at a drive-thru they could just as easily pass out at a stop signal while waiting to turn or just while driving," Lt. Wood explained.

Carrie Moore is in her second year as an assistant coach with the Creighton University Women's Basketball Team.

In a statement a Creighton University representative said “It is school policy not to comment publicly on personnel matters.”

Moore will make an initial court appearance in Sarpy County on Tuesday.
