Local retrail sales for smaller communities. The local October sales numbers varied when compared to a year ago.
The Cassgram reports the Nebraska Department of Revenue’s Net Taxable Sales Report, comparing October 2012 to October 2011, shows Cass County with an 8% decrease to $8,325,789. However, in the Plattsmouth city limits, October sales were up 5.4% to $4,095,682.
(The September ’12 report had Cass County with a 0.2% sales increase and Plattsmouth with a 0.1% decrease over a year earlier.)
Statewide, October 2012 taxable sales were 4.8% higher than in 2011.

---The NDR’s October Net Taxable Motor Vehicle Sales Report said Cass County posted a 3.8% increase when compared to the same month in 2011. Taxable motor vehicle sales totaled $4,533,523.
Statewide sales were up 8.3%.
