Three business were hit in random, smash-and-grab fashion on the same night in South Omaha last week.

The Subway sandwich shop near 50th & L had a door smashed. The Godfather's location up the street had similar damage.

Stoysich Meats at 52nd & Q credits their alarm system for keeping the loss of merchandise to a minimum. Thieves were only able steal a scale before running out.

Across the city, at Piccolo's Florist near 84th and Maple, thieves pried their way in through the back doors of the warehouse. The target here was roses.

The incident report filed with Omaha Police indicates nearly $2,000 worth of premium and cash-and-carry roses were stolen.
