Three burglaries to start the new year in Cass County,Nebraska.
The Cassgram reports that on Sunday afternoon, deputies were first called to investigate a burglary on East Lake Drive at Lake WaConDa and then later a second burglary was reported on West Shore Drive.
In both cases, the side doors to the garages were either pried open or forced open to gain access. Items taken from the garages consisted of a blue 2002 Yamaha dirt bike motorcycle, several power tools, hand tools, construction equipment, an ammunition reloading kit for high powered rifles and canisters of gun powder, said Cass County Sheriff Wm. C. Brueggemann.
The value of the items taken from East Lake Drive are believed to be around $1,500 to $2,000, while the value of the items at West Shore Drive are believed to around $6,000.
This morning deputies responded to an alarm at 12:39am at the Fuel Depot on Nevada Street in South Bend. Upon arrival it was discovered that the glass in the front door and the front window had been smashed. The alarm also was heard by several neighbors.
All three of the burglaries are still under investigation.
