Kipp Dailey lives on a peaceful street. "We won't see another car come down this road for 20 minutes," said Dailey. The suspects who burglarized his home weren't in a car either. They're not old enough to have a license.
Omaha Police arrested a 13 year-old and 15 year-old boy hours after the burglary on N. 51st Street. Dailey had a computer and other electronic devices stolen along with three weapons. "The guns weren't mine, they were my mother-in-law's guns," said Dailey. "She asked me to hold them because my father-in-law has dimentia."
Dailey says the suspects aren't total strangers. "This wasn't random, they were actually friends of my daughter."
His concern is getting the weapons back, or at least out of the hands of another criminal. "I'll be happier when they're off the street," said Dailey.
So far OPD has not recovered any of the property stolen from Dailey's home.
