The body found in bushes across from Westroads Mall last Thursday has been positively identified as 50-year-old Ronald Price of Omaha, who had been missing since October. Foul play is not suspected.
The body was found by a landscaper shortly before noon on the east side of a building at North 102nd and Nicholas streets. Price was reported missing on October 15th, last been seen near 103rd and Hamilton.
Price’s sister, Dottie Stark, told WOWT 6 News last week that he would routinely walk to get cigarettes, but that night, wearing a T-shirt and shorts, Price never returned home. "When I seen the address, I knew, I knew."
“We've had this conversation with him before. I've called him to ask him about a body and I wasn't expecting him to say yeah, that is your brother. It was a shock."
A half-year before he vanished, Price had surgery to remove a brain tumor. He suffered from headaches. Dottie believes he was delirious. The hard part is trying to figure out what happened after he left his apartment. “We don't know. It could have been a reaction to the medication. He could have had a seizure. He could have lost his way. He could have not known where he was."
