Update: Body Found by Railroad Tracks Identified

Omaha Police have identified a body found by railroad tracks last week as Terry L. Hayek, 50. Foul play is not suspected.

Detectives say Hayek was a known transient.

His body was found near abandoned railroad tracks last Friday afternoon at 16th and Locust.

No word yet from police as to the identity or cause of death in connection to the discovery of a body near abandoned railroad tracks at 16th and Locust in Omaha Friday afternoon.

The body was found around 2:15 p.m. in a field about a half-mile south of Locust Street. Investigators were careful not to walk on tire tracks made by vehicles along the railroad tracks.
