Senate candidate Bob Kerrey's family is returning to New York, Fact Finders has learned.
Kerrey tells Channel Six's Brian Mastre that his sister-in-law is ill, so Sarah, his wife, and Henry, his son, are going back to the Big Apple.
He says it's not clear if Henry will be back to Dundee Elementary for the second semester.
Kerrey says he'll split time between Nebraska and New York because of his home and businesses here.
Opponents hammered on the carpetbagging theme even before Kerrey got in the race. He spent the previous 10 years in New York as a university president.
On Tuesday, Kerrey lost to Deb Fischer for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Ben Nelson.
