"Bike Jacking" Crime

Omaha Police are investigating a reported case of "bike jacking" in the area of 33rd and Stone Avenue.

The 53-year-old victim tells police he was riding his bicycle in the are during the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 29th when he was approached by two young men.

The pair approached him from the rear and pulled a handgun before demanding the Schwinn bicycle the man was riding.

The victim tells officers the replacement cost of the bicycle is $250.
