The city of Bellevue has rescheduled the budget public hearing for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bellevue City Hall.
Mayor Sanders called for the hearing to hear comments concerning the proposed biennial budget for fiscal years 2013-14 and 2014-15.
No other business will be transacted and no vote will be taken on the proposed budget at this meeting.
The original public hearing on the budget scheduled for August 26th was canceled.
The meeting September 3rd will serve as the first public hearing on the budget and allow the City to stay on track for the 2nd public hearing and adoption of the Biennial Appropriation Ordinance (the budget) at the regularly scheduled Council meeting on September 9th.
The State Budget Act requires that all municipalities submit their annual budgets to the State Auditor’s office by September 20, 2013.
