Money was the big focus of a hearing in Old Town. Tuesday September 2nd was the first chance for Bellevue residents to sound off about city budget plans.
"Do the responsible thing and increase our taxes rate to 4 even 5 cents, a 100. Strengthen rather than weaken our community," said a concerned community member.
"I"m opposed to the restaurant tax. We all know that once taxes get put into place, they are almost impossible to remove. So proposing it for just one year that's a nice thing in theory," said another.
The next hearing is set for next Monday, September 9th.
