It could happen, right here in the heartland!
A world record could be broken and we can all take part in the major event.
Judy Grace is camped outside the Bakers grocery store in Bellevue's Twin Creek Plaza.
Judy is attempting to ring her Salvation Army bell for more than 60 hours and that will be a new world record!
"This is just to raise awareness to make sure people are donating or helping out and volunteering making sure people have a warm place to sleep and food and clothing," she said.
Judy is competing with eight other Salvation Army bell ringers across the country.
Her goal is to raise $10,000 in her red kettle.
