The small eastern Nebraska town of Bee is getting more than $550,000 in grants and loans to help pay for upgrades to its water system.
Bee needs to replace its water mains, valves and water meters throughout the village, and it is due to repaint the water tower.
The Nebraska Department of Economic Development says the town of
fewer than 200 residents will receive a $243,386 community block
development grant for the project.
The town will also receive $309,139 in grants and loans from the state's quality drinking water fund.
