A Waterloo, Iowa man faces up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced for robbing a bank of $80.
Thirty-year-old Kurtis Culbert says he was ordered to rob the U.S. Bank branch in Waterloo two years ago by individuals he knew when he served time in prison.
He says he was so nervous his handwriting was shaky on the holdup note and the teller misread his request for $80,000. The teller read $80 and gave it to Culbert, who left and was later arrested.
Culbert plead guilty last month to second-degree robbery.
