A year after one-year-old Chase Hunter died at his babysitter's home, his day care provider was sentenced to 120 days in jail and five years of probation.

Elizabeth Harding pleaded no contest to negligent child abuse resulting in death, which is a felony, earlier this year. She had faced up to 20 years behind bars.

Chief Deputy County Attorney Brenda Beadle said on at least two occasions, the Hunter family asked Harding not to let Chase nap in his car seat. Harding admitted that she only buckled the top part of the harness when she left the boy in a car seat to take a nap. The boy then slid down in the seat and was strangled by the harness.

Although she was running a day care out of her home, Harding was not licensed.
