Memories are about all Brisa Menjivar has of her daughters early days.
Brisa says, "That’s all I want are just my pictures that I paid for."
Picture Me Studios rented space in Wal-Mart’s like the one brisa went to in Council Bluffs. The photographer took portraits of then three week old Marysol. Brisa says, "Why did they even lead us to thinking we're going to get our pictures taken and we were going to get them and we didn't."
Picture Me Studios closed before filling Brisa's order of baby portraits and announcements Picture Me Studios were located inside the stores but had nothing to do with Wal-mart. Still Wal-mart is focused on efforts to try and get pictures to parents expecting albums filled with baby pictures.
Wal-mart has some photo orders from the closed portrait studio but Brisa says hers isn't there. The store will keep checking if other portrait packages come in. Brisa says, "These are her first pictures and you can't turn time back.."
Wal-Mart spokesperson Danit Marquardt tells Fact Finders “We know that family photos are incredibly important to our customers. We are working to help ensure our customers receive the photos they ordered from CPI. If we are not able to get the photos from CPI, we will refund the cost of the photos to customers with a valid receipt at the customer service desk at the store where the order was placed. Customers can also call 1-800-walmart if they have any questions. “
CPI's website is offline. Fact Finders tried calling several listed phone numbers. All were disconnected.
