The National Weather Service continues the heat advisory through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures once again on Tuesday will rise to the upper 90s however high humidity will make it feel like 105 to 110 degrees.
Avoiding a deer results in an injury accident. At approximately 5:30am Saturday a Mazda 6 sedan, driven by Christina Tietgen, age 52, Weeping Water, was northbound on Highway 50 near Louisville, when she swerved to miss a deer in the roadway, said Sheriff Brueggemann.
The Cassgram reports during the attempt to avoid the deer, the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a bridge guardrail. Louisville Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded and transported Tietgen to Midlands Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.
